People often tell me I have empathy, reading the room was never a tough job for me. I think that's what helps me notice fleeting moments and emotions until they pass, and it's probably why I ended up in documentary filmmaking and photography, where that skill matters most.
I'm a director of photography based in Berlin, with a background in cinematography from Kyiv. I started out in TV production, took on fiction projects, and co-developed short documentaries. Over the past few years, I've worked as a DoP on documentary projects for international broadcasters in DE, UK, and US.
I have varied experience in both creative and technical roles on film projects of different scales and genres: camera operator, 1st/2nd AC, drone pilot, grip and lighting. I can also step into editing, pitch deck design, or production coordination when a project calls for it. I like being useful on set in more ways than one.
